When using third-party content that is permitted under license, users must provide appropriate credit and attribution as required by the rights holder. CloneCast actively monitors the platform for potential violations and enforces this policy through automated tools and manual reviews. Upon detection or notification of a violation, CloneCast may remove or suspend content and/or user accounts.

Educational Use of Well-Known Characters

CloneCast allows the creation and use of “Casts” representing characters or individuals well-known in public culture, provided these are strictly used for educational and informational purposes. “Casts” of well-known characters or individuals may only be used for educational purposes and cannot be monetized, used for promotional activities, or leveraged for revenue generation without explicit permission from the rights holder. Content must fall under public domain status or fair use exceptions (e.g., commentary, criticism, research, or teaching) to be permissible. These “Casts” must prominently display a disclaimer: “This Cast is an AI-generated representation intended for educational purposes. Statements or views expressed are not attributed to the individual or entity and may not be factual or accurate.”

Limitations on Use of Well-Known Characters

The use of well-known characters or figures is limited to contexts such as teaching historical events, societal developments, or cultural contributions; providing commentary or analysis related to the individual’s impact or body of work; and exploring themes related to public discourse, science, or the arts in a manner that is non-defamatory and respectful. Prohibited uses include generating revenue directly or indirectly from such “Casts,” creating misleading or impersonative “Casts” that misrepresent their AI nature, and using “Casts” to promote products, services, or brands without permission from the IP holder. CloneCast ensures that such “Casts” remain accessible for educational purposes while upholding respect for IP rights and the public interest.

Accuracy and Limitations of AI Representations

“Casts” are AI-generated entities and, as such, are prone to inaccuracies or misinterpretations. CloneCast does not guarantee the factual accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any statements made by “Casts.” This limitation is grounded in the doctrine of “Caveat Emptor” (Let the Buyer Beware), shielding CloneCast from liability for misinformation presented by “Casts” or interpretations or assumptions made by users based on AI interactions. “Casts” should not be used for professional advice (e.g., medical, legal, financial). Users seeking such guidance must consult licensed professionals.

Public Figures and Fair Use

CloneCast supports the creation of “Casts” of public figures under specific circumstances to foster education, public discourse, and innovation. Content derived from public domain materials can be used, provided it complies with fair use principles and does not mislead users. Public figure “Casts” are permissible for addressing topics of public interest, education, and historical documentation. CloneCast requires that public figure “Casts” remain respectful, free of defamatory content, and do not impersonate or mislead users. All public figure “Casts” will display a disclaimer stating: “This Cast is an AI-generated representation. Statements or views expressed are not attributed to the individual and may not be factual or accurate.”

User Data and Privacy

CloneCast is committed to ensuring a secure and transparent platform for users. CloneCast employs robust security measures to protect user data, including encryption and secure storage practices. Conversations with “Casts” are saved only for as long as the user’s account exists, ensuring confidentiality and data protection. CloneCast does not store identifiable information from interactions with “Casts,” ensuring privacy for users engaging with the platform. CloneCast offers a dedicated support team to assist with disputes, content removal requests, or other user concerns. Disputes are handled with impartiality, and decisions are communicated clearly to all parties involved.

Reporting Violations

CloneCast provides tools for reporting violations of this policy, including intellectual property infringements, misuse of “Casts,” or abusive behaviour. Users or rights holders can report violations by emailing support@clonecast.xyz with relevant details and evidence. CloneCast reviews reports within five business days and takes appropriate action, including content removal or account suspension. Users may appeal decisions within 10 business days by submitting evidence for reconsideration.

Liability and Indemnification

CloneCast assumes no liability for content created, uploaded, or shared by users. By using CloneCast, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless CloneCast and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or legal actions resulting from user-generated content, misuse of the platform or “Casts,” or reliance on AI-generated statements. This indemnification ensures that CloneCast remains protected as a company while fostering a creative and responsible community.

CloneCast reserves the right to modify this policy as necessary to align with evolving legal standards and platform requirements. Users will be notified of changes, and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
